The saying that all hands must be on deck seem to be echoing in the SMEs sector in Ghana. In a recent development MASLOC (Microfinance and small loans centre) has stated that, it will in close collaboration with the ministry of tourism and the newly created ministry of gender, children and social protection, provide employable skills and jobs for the youth of Ghana.

Speaking on the issue, Mrs Bertha Sogah chief executive officer of MASLOC said “the move was to enable the countries teeming youth to be gainfully employed”. Speaking to the Ghana news agency (GNA) Mrs Sogah said a steering and evaluation committee for the skills development and job creation program had been inaugurated and has been charged with the task of training 10000 youth in tourism, hotel and restaurant industry as well as in handicraft.
